was thinking about the parallels between victor vale vs. eli ever and spike spiegel vs. vicious, did some research and found v.e. schwab confirmed on twitter that these books are a love letter to the dynamics in cowboy bebop. even victor’s group mirrors the bebop crew! it all makes so much sense
