*slow blinks*
It's extremely rare that I don't enjoy a book. Extremely. This was, unfortunately, one of those times.
I saw what the author was TRYING to do here, which is why I'm giving the 2 stars. I just felt the execution just didn't work.
The themes of class, excess, greed, etc alongside the food metaphors and analogies could've all worked together. But they just didn't somehow.
