Crossing the Farak River
by Michelle Aung Thin
Highly recommended to anyone who wants an entry point to learn a bit about Myanmar and the Rohingya people. There's a lot of background information at the beginning, which is useful (but makes the story feel a little slow at first). It's shelved as YA - Atrocities are hinted at rather than presented graphically on the page. Eventually, the action escalates and Thin does a good job of making the reader care deeply about what happened to Hasina and Araf.
