Middle school age girl finally connects with her biological father, who has been in prison since she was born, and when he tells her that he is innocent of the crime he was convinced of, she looks to find way to get him free. Zoe explores her relationship with her former best friend, mother and grandmother as well as develops her love of baking throughout the story.
