I think I only liked this installment because I liked the first four so much. I enjoyed the premise of this book--taking place during a mystery writers convention-- but agree with other reviewers that too much back story was needed to explain the killer's motive. Not much character development and not much Scotch. Overall, I like the Liss McCrimmon character, but soon readers will need more from her to satisfy the nagging feeling that she really ought to know better by now.
