Finally got around to the book that everyone seems to love or hate. I am a lover.

Haunting Adeline is about Zade who is a man that delivers justice to the scum that traffic women and children. At Adeline's book signing Zade becomes obsessed at first sight and becomes her stalker. Like any good stalking it escalates and Zade definitely over steps some boundaries to say the least and Adeline over time finds she enjoys it. There is also a kind of side mystery that Adeline is trying to discover about her grandmother's murder which adds another nice layer to this novel.

This is another that requires reading the trigger warnings. This relationship begins with a SA which is kind of a strange way to have a man that does what Zade does start a relationship that way. It also makes one wonder if there is some Stockholm syndrome going on here. But looking past that I ate this one up.

I know the mood of this book is more on the serious side but I found some parts over the top which made me laugh. The fact that any of the cringe caused giggles instead of ick means I was having a good time. Most of the spicy scenes weren't cringe for me though and I found them enjoyable. I loved Adeline's best friend in this too. We all need someone so intelligent and supportive in our lives.

Stalker is one of my top tropes and if it is one of yours then you will most likely enjoy this one too. But I know it isn't for everyone. It also ends in a hell of a cliff hanger so off to read part two.
