Tending Roses by Lisa Wingate

This was a beautiful book. I stopped several times to write down quotes and things to remember. It took me a while to like the main character and her husband as a couple. I enjoyed the feel of the book and the "realness" of the people that were in it. I am glad it was chosen for book club.

*By the way, I think it is unfortunate that the first review that pops up for this book on Goodreads is not accurate. I am pretty sure they didn't really read the book because they sure got some main details wrong. Other reviews that panned it complained about the "stay at home mom" message. I did not get that message. Rather, it was being grateful for what you have and not always wanting more. I think those people have guilt issues they need to deal with otherwise.
