Ruckus
by L.J. Shen
How did I finish this in half a day? I just couldn't stop. It is so fast, fun, easy and sleazy.
Now listen, I don't condone this behavior. This man is ✨toxic✨. Duh. But I let my logical and critical mind take a breather with this book and I'm so glad I did.
If a man acted this way toward me in real life, I would gauge his eyes out with my thumbs. But in a book? Okay, daddy. Say less.
The representation of cystic fibrosis was so well thought out and descriptive. L.J. Shen did her research. As someone who lives with a chronic illness, I appreciated that she didn't shy away from the ugliness and also how hard Rosie worked to maintain her health.
I enjoyed it, okay? I can't defend myself. It's good.
