Cute book. I enjoyed the characters and as well as the development between Maggie and Griffin. Unfortunately, I felt like sometimes the characters were doing actions and going places with poor motivation to do these things. Such as Griffin taking Maggie to see
her dragon and allowing them to bond. In addition, I felt like Griffin and Magge weren’t at that part in a relationship for that to occur. The twist with Jori was unexpected and caught me off guard. I was skeptical when he wouldn’t turn away from Maggie once she told him off and flat out said she didn’t like him. Looking back, his motives and knowledge of her magic was definitely known by him the whole book.
There’s a lot more these authors could have done with this plot line and the story overall. A whole world and series could have been developed from this one book.
