Thank you to the author for providing an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I’m not usually a friends to lovers kind of girl, but this book just makes it work! Throw in a hot hockey player and a redemption arc and you have a great story. Really my only complaint is that the writing and story felt very young. And I’m not saying that’s a bad thing, they are meant to be in college after all, but it made it harder for me to get into the story. Overall it is a good book, but definitely more targeted to the 18-25 demographic.

Loved
- The found family aspect of the story
- Logan’s playlists
- Logan and Quentin’s friendship and they way they constantly support each other
- Quentin’s big focus on Logan’s comfort as they develop their fake relationship (asking for consent etc)
Meh
- As I mentioned earlier, the writing style is very young
Disliked
- Quentin’s toxic jealousy. I just wish there had been more evolution there
