Oh My God??!!! Like the epitome of the perfect queer romance? I LOVED every second of it and it made me so perfectly book drunk. The main character? Extremely likeable and relatable? The love interest? Actually an INTEREST and a cool person and the plot surrounding her was amazing. The entire premise of the plot around time travel and love and the 70s queer scene was beautifully thought out and interesting. I was hooked for almost every moment of the pages. I also loved the care within the community when saving the diner - everyone was so committed to two causes - the diner and saving the love interest from the time loop. Everyone cared for each other. People focused on a small thing and all worked together for each other. Showed you that even something unremarkable like a dinner or a girl you flirted with on a train can become major with a little bit of care. Like, it is cool to care about things. Caring matters. It helps us to get through this atrocity of a universe. Also the theme with the Uncle was a beautiful little touch that genuinely made me cry. And the entire aesthetic of 70s queer scene, plant bisexual, decaying apartment, urban Brooklyn was also beautiful. Obsessed. Will reread. Angelic. Wonderful.
