I absolutely loved this book with all of my heart. It was one of the best books I’ve read in a long, long time. It definitely lives up to the high fantasy genre and is such an inventive and emotional take on fantasy. 100/10 would recommend this book.
Graphic: Death, Drug abuse, Mental illness, Grief, Murder, and Alcohol
Moderate: Sexual content, Violence, Vomit, and Suicide attempt
The main character deals with a lot of depression and what not after her friend is murdered and it leads to a lot of grief and feelings that she struggles with throughout the book. Her character development through this book focuses on working through her grief in ways that are healthy and other ways that aren’t. Basically the healing process after the grieving of a dead/murdered loved one and all the messiness that includes. Also would not recommend for those under 18, as there is some sexual content that is very blatant and direct in its word usage. This book is adult fantasy for sure.
