The Undoing of Saint Silvanus
by Beth Moore
This novel delivers an engaging, character-driven murder mystery woven with secrets, broken relationships, and the complexities of family dynamics. Set against the dark and atmospheric backdrop of New Orleans, the story explores themes of personal & spiritual growth, rebuilding relationships, and navigating challenging family ties.
The writing is sharp, funny, and thoroughly entertaining, bringing to life a motley crew of characters bursting with personality. The Southern sass and sweetness blend shines through, making the characters feel authentic and endearing. Adelle, in particular, is an absolute delight. I adored her interactions with her family and her ability to talk sense into Olivia when no one else could. One of my favorite aspects of the book was Sargent Cal DaCosta. His budding romance with Jillian was a highlight, and I only wish we had more moments between them.
