Beautiful Bastard

It’s impressive how Christina Lauren went from writing this type of straight up smut erotic romance to writing god tier contemporary romance. Beautiful Bastard is enjoyable for what it is, it’s juicy, fun and sexy. It has the wit we find in their more recent books but with an overload of sex scenes. I am still glad they breached out of that genre and it’s interesting to see how their writing improved from then on.
As for the story, though some of Bennett’s alpha-male actions were questionable, it was great to see Chloe calling him out about them. I liked them as characters and I liked to see how their relationship progressed (besides of the sex) and I’m definitely excited to see more of them as I continue on with the series.
