jcpdiesel21 's review for:
Who Was Walt Disney?
by Who HQ, Whitney Stewart
A concise primer on the life of Walt Disney for kids. While it was interesting to learn about his upbringing as well as the creation of Mickey Mouse, animated films and Disneyland, the book abruptly ends when Walt dies and goes into barely any detail about his long legacy. I do appreciate how Stewart does not shy away from including some Walt's more unpleasant behavior, and was surprised to see Song of the South mentioned alongside well-known Disney classics of that era even though the company prefers to pretend that the controversial film does not exist.
