Delta of Venus by Anaïs Nin
4.0
At a time when Victorian norms generally prevailed and sex-talk was off-limits it was incredible for a female author to write erotica (even acknowledging that this book was published posthumously some 30 years after Anais' death.)
I did not finish reading the entire book but skimming through all the chapters got a gist of the stories. As has been mentioned by some reviewers, while erotica/porn appeals differently to each person, Anais has been diligent in keeping her writing "literary" rather than "trashy" perhaps to meet the condition laid down by the Collector.
Well worth a read, if only to peer into the mind of a female author from another age producing erotica.
