This is the second book in The Sinners duet and it picks up right where the first book leaves off. We get more background on both Cole and Mara. From there, we learn why they are the way they are. Keep in mind, they still need to catch the one who’s been killing everyone, and that’s where Cole’s specialties come in hand.

I enjoyed reading how Cole came to care for Mara even though he thought it was for his own selfish reasons. I also like how Mara became stronger and confident within herself.

Even though I did enjoy reading both books, I feel like it could have one book. Somethings could have been shorten or had a bit less inner dialogue. But thats just me.
