I LOVED this book, it made me want to re-read all the source material, especially The Wonderful Wizard of Oz! Uncle Lloyd should have sent them to The Grapes of Wrath or a Dr Seuss book, I'm not convinced he was quite the reader he was purported to be.
I want more Arthur! Still love Conner & Mother Goose and their humor. I'm a little frustrated that this wasn't really a stand alone story, instead this is clearly a part 1 to a larger narrative. I prefer larger, singular stories in a book, rather than an incomplete narrative in a book.
This book doesn't have a ton of closure, and the only reason for the half star detraction. Otherwise, this book is incredibly entertaining, and I love this book as well as all books in this series.
I recommend this to fans of fantasy, or the series more specifically. This is a quintessential "bookish" read to me - it's a book that reminds me why I love reading so much.
