Jeffery Deaver is one of my favorite authors and I saw an interview with the two authors and they really piqued my interest on this collaboration. Of course and I'm a sucker for a police procedural. If this was a romance we called the two MCs enemies to lovers, but I loved that what started out as antagonistic, ended up being a great fit of strengths to work the case.
This moved at such a fast pace and kept me not wanting to put it down. I love the unique aspect of adding a professor to the crime solving equation. And getting to watch their work relationship develop added a layer to the murder mystery.
Aida Reluzco and Andre Santana were great choices as narrators. They sparked the conflict and kept the frenzied pace created by the author.
I can't wait for the next installment
