I’ve read this book many times and it still holds up! I absolutely eat up the elaborate details of Manderly. On this read, what stood out was how deeply I related to the narrator’s anxiety and daydreaming and how impressed I was when

she finally found some guts and stood up to Mrs. Danvers.
