Little Thieves by Margaret Owen

4.0

Oh gosh, I loved this one. Vanja is such a great protagonist. You get why she is the way she is, how much of her life has been shaped by the choices she has felt she had to make to survive. I love the idea of Death and Fortune as godmothers, and the way they didn't entirely understand what that means to a human, compared to being a God. The villains were genuinely scary. Really, really fun.
