Colorful! Interactive! Funny! What more could you want from a children's book? I laughed out loud the first time I read this one and I almost wish I was still subbing just so I had the excuse to read this with a class. I'll just have to hope they need me to watch over a classroom in my schools for a little bit and I can take my copy with me! This book would be so much fun with Pre-K, K, or first graders especially. I think the humor and interactive aspect is ideal for that age group. This book starts out with the promise that you are going to get to count some monkeys, but then all these other creatures start showing up instead! We just want to count the monkeys already!
