My grandma died when I was 12. She was my favorite person in the whole world. I did the audiobook for this one because it was recommended in an Instagram post for people who want the vibes of Marjorie by Taylor Swift and it really lived up to that expectation. Grieving as a child is so confusing and frustrating and no one knows what to say to you, and life also just has to go on and “everything will be ok” and this book really showed that. I am giving it 4 stars mainly because I got lost in some of the fantasy aspects, which may have been different if I didn’t do the audiobook!
Moderate: Animal death, Cancer, Grief, Death of parent, Pregnancy, and War
