Ah Heartstopper. probably one of the most talked about queer series. I've watched the first season but never actually read the books (shocking, I know!). This is a very sweet story. I appreciate that Oseman, while focussing on queer joy, does take some time to explore darker themes. I do, however, miss some of the stronger friendship elements that were in the show. Yes, they are on page too and I understand there are limitations but I feel like they were more side-lined here. And I especially miss our favourite book nerd aroace. But still a great experience! I'll definitely get started on volume 2 very soon!
