I enjoyed the art style used in this book but ultimately found the story fell flat. The story would begin to have a certain rhythm and then suddenly a line would throw that rhythm out of wack. Others have also pointed out that some depictions of houses were a bit racially insensitive, and I had noticed that as well during my reading. So I quite enjoyed certain pages and found the drawings to be lovely but overall wasn't completely sold on this book.
