I have no idea how to express my absolute LOVE for the world Erik J. Brown has created!
After reading All That’s Left in the World, it easily became one of my favourite books, and when the sequel was announced I was absolutely beside myself.
The plot, the characters, the relationships, the world, the suspense, the writing — it’s all so unbelievably good!!
I immediately fell back into Jamie and Andrew’s lives and was hanging off every page, Brown’s characterisations are incredible, the narrative voice is so strong and the plot!!! The plot is so gripping and immersive and blows my mind!
I’m a huge fan of dystopian YA and Brown does it so well! There are twists and absolute peril but the found family and home as people not places ties it all together so beautifully.
I haven’t been so into a book that I stayed up till 3am to finish it in a long time, but this had me in a chokehold, I was crying for at least the last 30 pages and fell asleep with the book clutched to my chest.
Truly such a beautiful, heart wrenching and then healing read. I am so glad Jamie and Andrew got their ever after.
