Christine by Stephen King

My Stephen King re-read has led me to this one, but I'm actually not sure I ever read this as a kid. It's a goofy concept, and I think I skipped it because of that.

Anyway, it's surprisingly fun, despite the whole haunted car thing. And while it's not the best Stephen King book, it feels like the most Stephen King. You've got teenagers being teenagers, greasers, 50's rock and roll, and a supernatural enemy. Pretty much all the King cliches are here. But it's still enjoyable enough.

It is a bit long, and not necessarily for good reason. It's early King, so it still manages to be a relatively quick read, but there's a lot of fat in this book.

It's not one of my favorites, but it's not a bad book by any means - and it's certainly better than [b:Cujo|10603|Cujo|Stephen King|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1394208144s/10603.jpg|996156].
