The Rabbit Hunter by Lars Kepler

4.0

One of the through-lines in this series is that frequently there isn't "action" per se but exposition, time with a victim or the killer as they go about their lives. Sometimes it's quite mundane, sometimes there's something a little sinister about what's going on - and it's not always a clue to whodunnit. And can we just stop the "evil elite group at a private school" trope? Seriously. Once again Joona's somehow attached to a crime when he really isn't part of the force any longer; same with Saga, which is a great twist. However, we've now done this for a few books in the series, so can we please retire it?

I know there are more in the series, so now it's time to twiddle my thumbs until they're translated. Sigh.
