The Last Summer (of You & Me)
by Ann Brashares
I actually would give 3 1/2 stars. I loved how the book takes you back to your first love. It's impossible not think about it as you follow the story of Alice and Paul. I also have a sister a few years younger than myself so I was able to relate to the frustrations, love, guilt, etc...that you feel towards that sibling.
*spoiler alert*
While I agree that Riley's character wasn't as developed as some of the others I think that I made the impact of her death more painful...because, like her family, you didn't really know who she was. Having said that I'm not sure if Riley really knew who she was or wanted to be.
