When I read the last sentence of this book, I whispered, “holy shit” to myself and then burst into tears. This book was unflinchingly honest, horrifying, raw, and then it was so overwhelmingly beautiful that I cried three separate times (including the very end). I can 100% see why Jeanette McCurdy recommended it. Unbelievably impressive debut. Brave, well-written, heartbreaking, and healing.
