Wow this was powerful! I didn’t really know what to expect going into it, but am flawed by Ellams’ incredibly efficient writing, filled with grace, heart and evocative imagery. In a fable-equse fashion, we delve into power, race, gender, legacy, ancestry and revenge. I’m not entirely familiar with Greek or Nigerian mythology, but left eager to explore those worlds and histories more deeply. I love how the story was structured - incredible the way this epic so flawlessly moved beyond time and space, and was shared in less than 100 pages.
