I'm Glad My Mom Died by Jennette McCurdy

dark emotional hopeful inspiring reflective medium-paced

5.0

Getting to learn from Jennette's point of view how her experience with iCarly (and acting in general) was... gave me a whole new appreciation for her character. Sam Puckett was my favorite character, I loved how strong and non-caring about what others think she was. I wanted to be like her. But now... knowing that the actress, Jennette, wasn't anything like that... it's impressive to say the least. Such a great actress even if she didn't enjoy it that much. I respect her. Being brave enough to open her heart, her life, and her struggles in life with all of us, and the name of the book... I now have a different appreciation towards her, and I really want her to succed by doing what she actually loves, what she wants. And now, more than ever, I want to be like Jennette. I want to be strong enough to fight for what I want, and to find myself.
