Written in My Own Heart's Blood
by Diana Gabaldon
Continued reread, as MOBY covers 1739/1980/ and 1778-1779. The book opens with 1778 and the American Revolution is well under way but the drama happening with the Frasers takes precedence. Jamie is alive, Lord John is with the Continental Army as Bertram Armstrong, William knows the truth, Hal is in America, and Claire has kidnapped Hal. Not to mention Brianna and Roger desperately trying to defend their home and find Jem, Ian finally finding happiness, more loss for the Frasers, and a very happy and surprising ending.
Reasons I Recommend:
1) Brings together all of the characters from all of the novels and novellas
2) Adds a little more magic with McEwan, more details on how and why time travel work, and the truth is revealed about Roger’s father and
3) Return of characters lost like Frank, Geillis, and Dougal.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
