Look, man, I get it. I respect what the author did here.
But I just hated reading this. This protagonist was so stupid, so incompetent. At least my question to "how did she manage to get this far professionally" was answered LMAO
I'll admit that there were some nice quotes in here, though. Had I made a couple of different choices in my life, this might have been a favorite. Alas!
With all that being said, some more quotes for the Hall of Shame:
- but she did a DVD-player motion with her mouth and chin that was probably a smile.
- I wanted to bite a train, or maybe fuck one. I wanted to beat myself bloody in the burial chamber of the pyramid of Giza.
