The Astrology House by Carinn Jade

mysterious medium-paced

4.0

This was a twisty thriller with a unique setting. This book is about a group of people staying at an astrology themed retreat and their secrets get exposed when a storm arrives. Their host has an agenda and no one’s secrets are safe.

There were quite a few characters to keep track of in this book, none of which I particularly loved. However, I think that this was an element that worked well in this setting, as I truly did want to know what each person was hiding and why.

Even though there were a lot of characters to follow, they were developed and distinct enough to keep them straight while reading the book. I think that following the characters through multiple points of view also aided in moving the story along at a fast pace.

Read this if you like:
→ Multiple POV
→ Isolated setting
→ Astrology
→ Secrets & drama

If you are looking for a good, themed psychological thriller with a shocking ending, read this.
