Brave New World
by Aldous Huxley
This is a very good book, albeit an intense one. It makes bleak predictions about the future - the future we find ourselves in now, and it matches up in some aspects. Much like George Orwell’s 1984, this book paints a grim reality and showcases one man’s attempts at escaping it. There’s a lot of good bits in this book and it’s definitely worth a read, considering how short it is. All of humanity is grown in sets of twins that have been tampered with to yield hundreds of persons instead of just two, in order to control the population better. Emotions and individuality have been eliminated and replaced with ease, comfort, and immortality.
