He’d taken missions all over the world, assassinating power hungry generals in third-world shit holes, extracting hostages from fanatical terrorists, diffusing bombs ticking away their last ten seconds.

Kimber frightened him much more.

My feelings are more invested in this book compared to the first one, the concept ménage was kinda new to me, (except the little insight from book one) and I had conflicted emotions and opinions with regards to the characters choices and decisions. Gladly, Ms. Black knows her way around in this kind of stuff. It didn't feel violating, in fact I loved the characters, Luc being the first in line. I appreciate Luc's character so much, he was charming and worthy of his own happy ending. I enjoyed Logan and Hunter's pole-like traits, which are both protective and scary but insanely hot. I can't wait to read each of their stories. Then there's Deke, an in depth understanding of his character since I read him in book one. Damaged and well deserved for a happy ending with Kimber, I was singing Coldplay's Fix You mentally since Deke's issue was stated. I am drawn with the emotional connection of the characters which is very impressive for an Adult Romance read. It takes a really good talent to focus the readers not just with the BS stuffs, but more with the emotional and romantic relationship of the characters. Well done!
