These characters, this story is everything. Rivals to friends to lovers. The banter is off the charts, the fun competitiveness, the charm, the reverse grumpy/sunshine moments…so good! Sarah Adams flawlessly melds comedy, slow burn tension filled romance, with broken adults who have dealt with loss, hard childhoods, coping mechanisms all while being surrounded by a small town who loves them. 

The small town of Rome and its people are endearing and sweet and ornery and caring and hilarious. They are fun additions to the story but the stars here are Emily & Jack and I am obsessed.
