This has been on my TBR since it came out and I’m glad I finally read it!

I will admit this took me longer than I expected to get through, I don’t know whether it was a me thing or not but I was enjoying it while reading but whenever I put it down, I had to really force myself to pick it back up.

I was expecting a bit more from the mystery/suspense aspect but that fell a little flat for me. The mystery was dragged out from the beginning and I don’t think it was fully explained until way later and even then it was vague, for me at least, and I think it could have been a slightly shorter book.

I did really enjoy Laney and Grant. They had chemistry from the get go and it was such a slow burn! But the banter between was the best! And the spice! 🥵

I absolutely loved the Foxx family and Hadley (if her book is with who if think it is, I will die!). They were all so close and immediately let Laney in, even not knowing much about her or the trouble she might bring them.

Overall if you like small town romance with a bit of suspense, great spice and found family vibes then definitely check it out!
