Collections are difficult things to rate, even when by the same writer.

Some of the poems connected. Some were easy and enjoyable to read and comprehend, some had a superb grasp of rhythm and rhyme. Others were too subtle, or required extra contextual knowledge to appreciate.

I consider myself of average intelligence, and a few of the poems here flitted over my head and out of reach of flailing arms.

There were two standouts for me: The Changeling, and The Sunlit House. The former a brief story enwreathed in folklore, the latter a captured moment in time with a nod to superstition.
