Montana Sky by Nora Roberts

2.0

I decided I wanted to read some fluff because occasionally I enjoy literary cotton candy (Nora Roberts)instead of steak and potato books like 1984.

Let's be honest: Nora Roberts isn't the best writer but she sure knows how to spin a guilty pleasure read. She changes POV so much its dizzying and her stories are comfortably predictable but I somehow like her anyway.

Montana Skies tells the tale of three estranged sisters and their adjustment to life after the reading of their father's will. He's a major SOB and two of the daughters barely knew him. So we wait to find out the important questions. Will the Hollywood diva fall for the horse rancher lawyer? Will somebody finally tame Willa's wild, stubborn heart? Will Lily finally find someone to trust in the beautiful Rocky Mountains of Montana? All the answers can be yours by reading this book.

Really though, the only questions I cared about the answer to (because we already know the answers of the above questions) is who is slaughtering the animals and then as the stakes get higher, humans, on the Mercy ranch.

I enjoyed this book for what it was and felt the characters were likable. The romance was predicable and occasionally steamy.

This book accomplished one thing for sure. I want to go to Montana!
