Covering all the ground from before A New Hope, all the way up until The Force Awakens begins, LOST STARS is one hell of a book and dare I say, the BEST Star Wars book I have read thus far! Believe the hype, fans, this one lives up to every bit of it.
Cienna and Thane meet by chance as kids and grow up together, both attending the Imperial Academy, on their way to careers for the Empire. One ends up deflecting to the Rebellion, while the other holds onto to honor their commitment to the Empire. To say it puts a strain on their relationship would be an understatement, but no matter what, they find that their bond cannot be broken.
LOST STARS brilliantly weaves the entire Star Wars saga together without it feeling bloated or rushed, as we see the story through Cienna and Thane's eyes.
I absolutely LOVED this book and I haven't heard if there is going to be another one, but it's certainly left open for a sequel and I hope on everything that is good in The Force, that we get one!
