DID NOT FINISH
First things first - I didn't finish this book. I had to stop at 232 pages.
From reading the blurb I expected a (hard) military sci-fi story but instead I got a jumbled and disjointed story that goes in too many different directions and was, in my opinion, very boring.
I also couldn't connect to the characters, to the story and what's going on in the story. I couldn't get into the strange writing style and I really didn't like how, for example, Jack is talking about something and then *wham* sex scene. And no, it's not about the sex scene, it's about jumping around with no transitions and explanations (like the jump from Felix to Jack. o.O).
While I'm a bit curious what happened to Felix I'm not curious enough to keep reading. Maybe one day I'll pick this book up again and finish it.
I really wanted to like this book because from what the blurb promises? This could be such an awesome book but just wasn't for me. :(
