Those Empty Eyes by Charlie Donlea
4.25
This is now the second book from Donlea that I’ve read. I really liked the first one and now that I want to read the rest. With a book that goes between a couple of different POVs, this flows really well. It’s not really a twist in a way a lot of horror books have twists but once the evidence is in front of you, you can piece things together. I think it was still awesome
I definitely felt for Alex because she obviously had some trauma that families involved with tragedies have and the true crime fanatics make me happy I’m not fucking insane about things. I just like reading about good mysteries and piecing stuff together
Plus, the fact that Donlea actually thanked some MDs and a detective to get facts/info right about what he wrote about is *chefs kiss*
