Gosh, I loved this book! I don't think there are enough words in the English language to describe everything I loved about this book. I loved the introduction to (for me, at least) Hindu mythology, I loved Aru's sense of humor and 'imagination', I loved that the Pandava brothers are reincarnated as sisters (and how Aru & Mini kept reminding everyone- 'it's HEROINES!' :-). While it's no secret I adore Rick Riordan's Olympians series, Roshani Chokshi's Aru Shah brings a breath of fresh air to a genre that is desperately needing more diverse female leads & it opens to door for writers to bring their own cultures and mythologies to excited readers. I absolutely can't wait to see what Aru does next and to meet her other 4
