Holder isn't TSTL, but I fail to see how he's boyfriend material. I wouldn't want to date someone who's that violent, even if he has his reasons.
He was more tolerable than Sky as a protagonist, but the fact that he was in true love with Hope when they were five is ridiculous. I find it absurd to the point of breaking my suspension of disbelief. Losing Hope feels like a trite, contrived YA novel... which it is.
And then there's his sister's suicide, which feels cheap and I still don't like it. It feels like fridging and for mere melodrama.
