I knew this wasn't going to be a light and happy romance book but damn, the first half of this book was sad, depressing traumatic experience after traumatic experience so be warned and check TWs for sure. But the book was really well crafted and once we got to the second half it was really sweet and felt honest and real. I loved the home restoration and bartending scenery for the story. The romance was beautiful but wow it took a lot of tragedy to get to it. I wish there was a lot less so that i could've enjoyed more of the book, but i did really appreciate what the author was doing through the whole book and i can respect that.
