The book has good parts in it, but it drags and you can see Rowling's problematic worldview in the writing of the novel, particularly Hagrid's opinion on "foreigners" that seems out of character for him. Some of the characters have good British-humor one-liners and the ending was okay, but Voldemort's return is one big boring 10-minute monologue where I can't take him all that seriously.
Minor: Child death
