Valor and Doyle are back! Two months on from the shooting that saw Torin injured and Doyle having to make a horrific choice. To shoot a child.
He's now taken all his vacation time to ensure he doesn't have to go back to work. And Valor is worried. As Aslan has started bringing bottles of Rye home and won't talk to Torin or about the events of that day with anyone even Quaid.
And with a new partner to bed in Quaid is stressed!!
Although Aslan is always on hand for some stress release and tips on how to play nice with his new partner Frawley. Who is keen to prove herself as an MPU detective. And she soon has her chance.
As the pair deal with three missing persons. Who just seem to have disappeared in to thin air. And with little to go on Quaid's frustration reaches whole new levels.
But his relationship with Aslan is going from strength to strength and he's determined to do everything possible to get him back to work doing the job he loves.
And with great mystery, great characters and a story that kept me reading. Defying Logic was a fantastic read and I can't wait to see what happens with these guys next. Especially with how this one ended!
