A decent read, but some elements bugged me. The obsession over the sight issue is interesting, but also doesn’t seem to add a lot, and starts to feel like a detractor from the story rather than adding anything. Quite a few elements were predictable, which isn’t a terrible thing, but the clues and foreshadowing felt a little obvious or overdone. Some of the resolution also felt a bit rushed, particularly with details mentioned but not specified.
